Well, I got a sample of the ICP shirts I worked on. What you see here is the front and back. They look pretty good, although the logo on back got changed to a dark grey on the inside making it a little too hard to read now as it is. But other than that, I’m happy with them. The rest of the designs are in the portfolio section. Check your local Hot Topic soon and you might see ‘em. I know I won’t.

Just finished up the new Ironweed cover, still working on the rest. I will post it in the packaging section when it’s done. But for now, here’s the cover - I think it turned out alright -

Well, I’ve officially jumped into the Merch design business. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a while now, and I got approached a while back with the opportunity to design some Tees. Naturally I jumped at it. My first printed shirts should be up in a few in the newly created Merch section. Meanwhile, here’s a few pieces of art I did that weren’t chosen, but that I think came out decent.

I just finished up the Mudhoney poster I was working on. It’s now over in the more than capable hands of Steve Walters at Screwball Press. That halftone dot pattern in the background will be a metallic pale yellow ink, should look pretty cool. Can’t wait to see the done deal. Anyways, you can check out a bigger version over in the posters section.

Finally starting to get back into some artwork, after what seemed like a long time after the birth of our second Daughter. It’s been about four months or more since I’ve found the time to be able to delve into it. Now it seems I got a ton of stuff on the plate. I’m working on a mudhoney poster right now, then I’m going to delve into the new Ironweed record, then I got the vinyl release of the first two Dixie Witch records, which I will be doing some limited screenprint art for. And then at some point I’d like to finish up my first art print I’ve been working on…my version of a childhood love of mine - Shogun Warriors. The linework isn’t even done yet, but it’s coming along as you can see.

Anyways, that’s about it. Giddy up.
I got this idea for posting the seps for my High on Fire screenprint from over at the forums at gigposters.com. It is by far my favorite site on the net. I spend alot of time and get alot of inspiration from this site. So take a look-see and if you like it, support them by shootin ‘em ten bucks for the year. The site is not for profit and that money goes to running the site, which obviously takes ALOT of time to maintain. But I’ve gotten plenty of opportunities I would have never gotten without that site, so I tip my hat to it.
Anyways, back to the seps. Here’s an animated gif (which I just learned to do from the fine folks at gigposters.com) that shows a little of the process of screenprinting. The poster was printed on Black paper, which made for a little trickier print job, as Steve Walters from Screwball Press will attest. But he nailed it and made it look downright amazing. He also suggested the gray be metallic, which is sweet. So anyways check it out…

I just updated the logo section with a batch of logos I did for rapper Stat Quo. Unfortunately none of these panned out. Bah, C’est la vie.

Just saw some shots of the finished Hot Wheels inflatable I was working on…it turned out pretty sweet. It’s not easy making a tangle of stacks and headers into an inflatable. A few minor things need to be tweaked, such as flipping the rear caliper and tire treads, but all in all I think it looks pretty good.
Blah, another piddly piece of work nobody cares about. But dammit, I just love doing chrome stuff like this old gas pump nozzle…
Eh, just thought I’d start throwing up some random, piddly stuff I do during my daytime hours. They keep me in a dark, cold room during the day – because a sun caused flesh-ball-of-fire would do no one any good, really. Seriously though, I’ve been lucky at my dayjob. I usually get to do some fun illustration from time to time. Of course it all has to be done in one minute, (of course I exaggerate, but I’m sure some of you know how agency deadlines go. Usually stuff is needed yesterday.) so it really just turns out to be race against the clock. But things usually turn out alright considering the lack of time involved.
The wheel was just one of many parts done for an inflatable for a die cast car company promotion. I’m kinda eager to see how it turns out. The second piece was just a real quick vector splash page for a flash game. I would have added alot more detail if it was up to me and I had more time, but things just rarely work out that way. Nevertheless, it came out alright.
