More ICP tees…

I was asked to do some more designs for ICP.  They might get approved, they might not.  Either way, I enjoy illustrating Wraiths and Ringmasters.2-sided-t_r3b.jpg2-sided-t_r3a.jpg

Rap Radar logo.

Finished up a logo for an upcoming website by Hip Hop Journalist Elliott Wilson (Ego Trip, The Source, XXL).  I also threw in a couple of the various directions that were explored as well, which would be the small logos at the bottom.  They wanted something clean, simple, and slightly corporate.

Raydeen’s Evil Brother?

So I finished up what I’d like to be my first “art” print.  I wanted to do a Shogun Warrior with my own twist.  I was obsessed with these as a kid, and they obviously still hold a grip on me in some way today…such great Go Nagai character design.  What I ended up with was a darker version of Raydeen with a touch of Gaiking style.  And I added “warrior” just because, well I’ll take any old reason to draw up some lettering.  Hopefully this will get printed up at some point…and end up gathering dust like all my other stuff.  Bah, it’s the process and the result that I enjoy really.  If people want to buy it, consider it a bonus. shogun2.jpg

Some old paintings…

1redpainting.jpg    Well, I finally got around to shooting some old paintings and posting them here.  You can check them out in the Paintings section.  These are pretty old though.  I never considered myself a painter, it was more or less something to keep me occupied during the days when working on the computer just wasn’t very feasible or inspiring to me.  It was only a short period, probably around ‘96-’00 that I was painting.  There are other paintings, but those were given or traded away. These days I feel much more at home on the computer.  I still do alot of my ink and lettering by hand though, and most of my posters are screenprinted,  so it’s not COMPLETELY digital.  I know alot of purists frown on such digital tomfoolery, but I say…ahh, I say nothing.  Nor do I care.  Just doing what keeps me happy.  That’s about all you really can do.

OMGPosters Interview…

So I was contacted by Mitch from omgposters last week about participating in his “10 questions” series of interviews with poster artists from around and about. I’ve been a fan of his blog for a while now, so it was a no brainer really. You can check it out here. If you’re at all interested in toys and/or art, definitely bookmark it, it’s a great site. I also have to give him a big thanks for helping me out and publishing the new Witchcraft poster, for I had a deadline but no printer, and that just wasn’t going to work.  Hopefully we’ll work together again in the future.  Thanks Mitch!
